DUEL DISK DESIGNS - Duel Blade

Description

Whoa, potential FF7/Yu-Gi-Oh mixage? Nah, not really, just me getting crazy with an idea for a new Duel Disk design I cooked up the other day.

Catch your opponent cheating? Call the match, then snap the "Disk" shut and wallop 'em with it! :D

BTW, the little thing on the side of the handle, in case you can't read it, is labeled as the "Dramatic Lock Release Trigger". Press it and the device locking the end of the blade down (or, keeping the "Disk" in the "Shut" position) will be released. Give it a good hard swing (and let the trigger go a second later) and Whhhhhhoosh-SNAP! You're good to go and look cool in the process. (Just...try not to hit a bystander, okay?)

The reverse side of the blade is designed exactly the same as the side you CAN see, so whether you're Northpaw or Southpaw, you're good to go. (The gravity-sensitive trigger in the hilt will allow the Duel Blade to determine which side it needs to be reading info from. In "straight up" mode, the blade will actually lean one way or the other a little, preferably against your shoulder or chest.)

...I may have to get one of these made for a convention sometime. o.o

i recently came up with (and made) my own "duel saber" similar to this but it had a few drawbacks namely where to place my hand i added another card holder for my hand to make it easyer to place a card while still holding firm to the hilt

interesting design nontheless
